Hi! I have a 1998 BMW 318 ti, but I couldnt find the engine number!
Where is it located?

If you're looking for the model of the engine you have a m44b19 in your 318ti

My engine model is m44, and in the documents i see ecg19.
Which is the engine number?

The engine id number should be at the intake side of the crankcase.

Are you looking for the type of engine you have or the specific serial number on the engine block?

Yeah the serial number should be on the intake side of the crankcase

Jack up front right (passenger's) side. It's under the header. On the back of the engine, right above the flywheel is a paper sticker that also contains engine no. as well as batch no. and other info.

Or, call the dealership with your VIN. They can look it up for you.
