it could be the fuel heater, the fuel has to stay at a certain temp or it turns into a gel

dont no if its that heater but i dont have any other ideas

i dont no much about deisel, what i no from working on my friends dodge 2500 deisel that the fuel HAS to stay warm or the fuel will turn into a gel and the car wont run. im not quite shure where the heater is on a bmw but i would say its in the fuel tank. i dont no where the switch would be to even check that. try realoem.com and see if you can look it up
