318is Supe Up

ok what can i do to my 318is to make it faster this is my 2nd 318is and my first one seemed to be a lot faster. i have a cold-air intake already installed. i was considering getting a strait through exaust possibly borla. how much hp and touque is that expected to add? what else is there that i can put on my car that is fairly cheap but will bring me up in HP, Torque, and overall speed? im on a budget so dont get any crazy ideas about ac schnitzer or throwing some turbo kit in it. because its not happening. i need the most inexpensive way to heighten my cars performance. thanks.

Two quick things, there is a chip, and an air flow meter upgrade that I know of.

honestly... there is nothing worth doing to the m42 engine.
suspension, sure..but to make it fast? a chip is your best bet, but that isnt doing a whole lot..... intake just adds air to your engine..but that doesnt give you gains.... exhaust..that wont make a difference....

if you really wanted a project i would say, m52 engine, new tranny, new suspension...

i am getting rid of my 318 hopfully soon.. i love it, but it just dont have the get up that i really want... i am looking at an e30 325i..then doing suspension...sick car

your old one might have seemed faster because of a different differential/gear ratio.. check that
