| This is actually not for me, it's for a friend. He has a 318IS and it was running like shiat, so we bought new plugs and replaced them one night, long story short when we pulled out the first 2 plug wires from the head(the 2 closest to the front of the car) there was oil in there.....oh great....we think maybe when someone was filling the oil it got spilled down in there, because after changing the plugs and checking it over and over, there's no more oil in there...so it's not leaving into there from the engine.
But now he is having another problem. The spark plug wires go from the head, over to the left of the engine bay and I don't know what they plug into(I don't know if I should call it the coil or the distributer is all) but where they plug in, while the car is running you can hear it spark and everytime it does the engine misfires. It's kinda cool, at night you can actually see the spark arch over across from one to another....lol.
Another scary/cool/funny thing, we were under the hood looking at it spark and we pulled on the throttle a couple times to rev it and it backfired(I think) right out the intake(LOUD ass popping noise)
So what does ne need to replace and where to get it is the question. Anyone have a good source online for used parts?
thanks a ton! |
