Hi Guys,

Can some one tell me common fueling problems for my car please?

I really don't want to have to have my car plugged into a jumped up calculator to tell me what's wrong with it, cos quite frankly, in my neck of the woods it too damn expensive!

I've just fitted a new flow meter or mass meter which ever one it is. But so far it doesn't seem to be much better, in that I'm currently getting about 22mpg. And that includes cruising along the motorway.

My next thought may be the Lambda sensor.

What do you guys reckon?

i have a 95 318, just saw that i am getting about 25 mpg.... i went thru 3/4 a tank and got about 300 miles.... that makes 400 miles for 16 gallons.... 100 miles = 4 gallons.... 25 miles= 1 gallon.... that is from normal driving too... i am usually trying to keep up with friends that drive fucking fast, plus all the lights around here.... i am surprized

Could be a number of things like a bad catalytic converter, 02 sensor like you suspected.

i have a solid 24mpg going over the last 2 months, and i beat on the car a bit and go well over a 100 sometimes, but i hit the interstate some

I get around 20-25mpg but I drive entirely in the city with horribly timed stop lights. Maybe once a month I hit the highway.
