318i 1999, i need help!!

I got a BMW 318i 1999 Automatic and when the engine is too cold it doesn't change gear it keep running in first gear, after like 10 minutes it works ok
i think its not a big problem or maybe something i did wrong coz if its broken it probably wouldnt be still running
so plz if this happened to someone cold you tell me... im from japan and if i send to an mechanic ill pay twice more than the car's worth

it runs in first? no clutch in? you deff broke something sounds like you might be low on brake fluid as well
