318i 1992 E36 power steering

Hello.
I have 1992 E36 318i. The power steering is leaking somewhere and the leaking is so big.
The problem is that the car makes too much noice like a diesel truck on idle and running, and it cant go fast, i mean on the fifth gear it can go for 140KM/h max when the rpm is about 6500.
could it be because of that leak? or something else?

ok first things first, you'll want to remove your ps reservoir first and check that for cracks, it's held on by a simple clamp, if that checks out one of your lines is probably leaking and you'll want to check them both to figure it out, clean up the area and pour some fluid in turn the wheel back and forth and see if you can tell where it's coming from, it will be hard to tell with everything covered in fluid already

That would be because of something else. Any warning lights at all?
