318 engine swap to I6

Hey, I am new to the forum... I found it while trying to find info on doing an engien swap.

So far, everything that I have found is of the "don't do it, just buy a 325" flavor.

While I understand the perspective, Im moving forward and would like some help.
I currently own a 1992 318 manual trans car that is in overall good condition but has a bad engine.

I have 2 potential donor cars that I already own. Both have front end damage.

1993 325 auto
1997 328 auto

If someone could point me to a DIY for the engine swap, I would be grateful! I'm hoping to retain the 5spd in the car, but would settle for ending up with an I6 auto car...

BTW, if anyone is looking for parts from an E36 coupe or sedan, there's a good chance I have what you are looking for!

turns out there is a fellow selling manuals to do such, I guess he is making good on his personal experience and sharing his learnings for $70 per copy....

A bit steep, but it should save me some guessing.
