I am thinking of dipping my toe into the European car market and was wondering what kind of gas mileage each of these engines get on the highway and also racing around town and stuff. I know people know these numbers so please share. Also, which engine has more aftermarket accesories for it? (ie: turbo, cai, exhaust, cams, etc...)

Normally I get 27/33 mpg city/highway.
When I push it those numbers drop to 21/28

wow come in barking haha, anyways my 325 gets about 20mpg with a mix of city and highway, and i get on it quite a few times... my 318 gets obviously better than that but i never took the time to figure it out. go to www.aatuning.com for turbos/superchargers. unless you got 8g for a turbo kit dont buy one. cheap is not the way to go. unless you can peice together a pretty nice one...

the mpg is not that different between 318 and 325 but the power sure is, youll be flooring the smaller engine anyway killing the mpg benifits of a smaller engine. go for the big one, youll be way happier.
