3-wire Or 4-wire?

Do the 92-95 E36's take a 3-wire or a 4-wire O2 sensor?
The catalog I looked in this morning shows a 3-wire universal sensor fits.

Doesn't anybody know if pre 95 E36's have a 3 wires or 4 wires going to the O2 sensor????

either will work if i can recall. i know that you should actually go and check yourself to make life easier. however i thinkyou have to splice the 4 wire one where as the 3 wire is a plug and play. dont quote me though because its been a while since i can recall.
