Just a quick query to see if anyone has had any steering problems on their 3 series ( E36 ).

Mine has just started getting very difficult to turn, usually when turning right - sometimes accompanied by some very painful cracking sounds.

I suspect the bushes/bearings have failed in the steering column, but would like some feedback incase anyone else has had a similar scenario.

Thanks in advance

Send a message via AIM to TMac325is
it may be the bushes and bearings, or it could just be that you need to tighten the VBelt (check power steering fluid as well)
