How do you like it? Do you feel more acceleration? I can get my hands on a 3.15 LSD w/ 40% lockup for about $400. I want the 3.46 but it's $1500.. Is the 3.15 worth it or should I save up for the 3.46? Thanks in advance!
Thanks Furious..so I guess if your looking to upgrade then I know my answer. IM sure the 3.15lsd would be an improvement over the open diff but might as well not jump into it and get what I want

Yea, I forgot, you live in the States and not in the Netherlands....... Fuel is expensive here.

This is also true, but in my case I usually cruise at 80 on the highway. I dont need to be reaching 125mph.. or even 100mph for that matter. Already got arrested doing 100mph in a 40 mph zone, so those days are over for me..
We had a thread in the 5-series forum about this subject. The pros and cons of upgrading the differential.
An individual on bimmerforums.com put a 3.64 open in his e34, and he said he loses traction real quick in first and second. He went and bought a 3.15 LSD from diffsonline.com, and I'm waiting for his report so I can buy one from there, too.
He also said that with the 3.64 and a chip, he could still do 160 MPH+.
