I have a '93 325is 5 speed and when I downshift into 2nd at over 35 mph it tends to grind even with the clutch in. Under this speed it seems to shift fine. Could this be a bad synchro? Am I just downshifting at too high a speed? Thanks for the help.
Give the throttle a blip to about 35 and let the clutch out immediately and it will mesh. My car does it too and I found this to be the best way second only to double clutching. And if you really want to you can just jam it in, but I don't recomend that.
