how close are these two in terms of cornering performance. iam curious if you guys might know from personal experiance.

as for cornering, i suggest doing some research via google, and find skid pad numbers and slalom numbers. and cornering has more to do with the driver than the car itself. takes a good driver to make the car perform the way its suppose to

I have owned a 1g AWD DSM, and a 1g AWD Stealth, and currently own a 325is, and so have had personal experience with all 3... the Mitsu's both handled remarkably well. The BMW will fool you though... while the suspension is much more user friendly, that is, smoother to the occupants, under condition, the car handles remarkable well. It is much more nimble the it leads you to believe. Based on the lower center of gravity in the Mitsu's, I'd say they do probably corner slightly better, operative word here is slightly. Overall however, I'd take my BMW anyday over either the DSM or the Stealth.
