Im debating on buying a set of 20inch rims for my 1994 318i. The wheel manafactuer told me that they would fit perfect. But i had a friend in the past with a 94-95 325i and he bought a set of 20's had them mounted and said he wasnt able to turn very well at all. Anyone here have a 94 318i with 20inch rims? Id like to know what trouble if any ill run into here.
Thanks
Rim size is 20" X 8.5

i personally wouldnt go any higher than 19". I have a 97 e36 with 19"m3 wheels. Often then just seem to be a little much for my car. They look wonderful on the car but i have also sacrificed a little acceleration due to the size of the tires. @0' will be even more dramatic adn the tires are very pricey.$$$

Well i went ahead and bought them. Got them for one hell of a deal. I called 2 other people selling the rims and asked if they would fit well and if id have any issues. They claimed the would work fine, though they could very much just be saying that in order to get a sale. Im going to give these a try and if I run into any issues ill just sell them I guess.
Heres an image of what they look like. I went with the silver.

ahhhhhh, your going to have major fitment issues with those wheels now..... I just got done selling my 19" wheels because They were rubbing like nobody's business on the fender linings on the fronts and backs, and I even have my fenders rolled and I still would occasionally tap the top.... I also had the absolute lowest profile you can get a 35 series Michelin Tire and mann you are going to have some problems.... I wouldn't even waste putting them on your car, or else your gonna be replacing fender linings and eventually fenders from beating them up over bumps....

Well im going to need to find out what all i can do to make these work if there is any issues. Ive seen other 318i's out there with 20inch rims so i know it has to be possible to have them setup smoothly some how. Im not a big fan of foriegn cars and I hate the whole ricer image(hondas, mitsubishis, toyotas especially). This is my first ever foreign car and I purchased it for buisness. I went with these rims because they arent your typical ricer looking rims and because i got them for one hell of a price. B)

How much would they weight and for only 8.5 inches, i would rather get 18x10 and lower the car!

Well they were made for BMW and Lexus cars specifically. Tires are no problem at all. I can get them at discount prices also. If these have issues ill either sell them or trade them for 18's-19's.

Anyone else here running 18's or 19's on their 92-95 318i? If so how do they ride, have you had any problems with driving and did you have to make any modifications to get them to work.
If i trade these for another set would you reccomend 18's or 19's?
Anyone here have 20's on their 318i? From what ive been reading so far in order to get these to work 100% id need to modify the wheel well and weld some supports.

those rims are AME replicas arent they?
its going to be hard to fit them in lol, you would n eed to spend some money on suspension and also there would be trouble when your turning your steering wheel at full lock not to mention when yoi hit speed humps etc etc but 20 inch is crazy heehee
