Hi all

First of all, A Merry Xmas to all that use this site & a happy new year also the Editors & all.

To my Question, Plenty of water, no air locks, well maintained, does not loose water, no water in the oil, no back pressure through the Rad, Heater works well, No need to fill up system, no leak through A/C yet when I start up like this Morning in the UK ( snow) the condensation coming through the rear exhaust was like a car with a head Gasket problem ( I do not have this problem) What Is the cause of this????????????????? I once read on a site that there was a problem with one of the Head Studs Bolts Loose??? Is this right?

It is more of an embarrassment that a problem, can anyone diagnose the problem please?

ah a fellow uk chumster. it's nothing to worry about, it is down to the beautiful freezing temps we're having. when fuel combusts the exhaust chucks out those poisonous gases. but also water as it's a by-product of the combustion. if you were to walk outside in the warm and breathe you wouldn't see anything but do the same in the mornings we're having and you'll see you're breath. water vapour. it's the same with your car. when you start it up it has to get to running temp slowly. in this time the volume of vapour you'll see will vary depending how warm the gases are.
watch other cars in the morning and you'll see how much vapour gets put out. by the end of your journey the amount of water vapour will be significantly less.
it may be also worth noting that on short journeys and in this weather you'll get condensation in the exhaust as it cools down. only to be heated up (steam) when you start up next time. hope this helps. john.
