1998 328i - gas fouled plugs & gas smell out of tailpipes
Just had full Tune-up to try and fix fouling of plugs, didn't help. Checked fuel pressure regulator - checks good, don't know what else to try. Any ideas?
Try disconnecting your air flow meter (AFM) and air box from the the throttle boot. Miove the flap inside the AFM and make sure it does not stick. Make sure you have relatively clean plugs in. Does it start? Try moving the flap in the AFM to see if you can get it to run at correct air/fuel ratio. I am experiencing similar problems and need to fix it in the next couple of days. Look up post titled fouled plugs / air flow meter.
