1998 318 cold start hell

My car takes a while to start when it sits overnight. The colder the day, the harder it is to start. Once i get it started and the car is warm, the problem isn't there. Any ideas?

1998 Bmw 318i
- No check Engine Light

so far:
- New Battery
- New Spark Plug Wires
- New Coolant Temp Sensor DME (controls fuel injectors)

Starter, injectors.....there may be condensation that's developed and freezing overnight....an engine heater may help

Damp on your HT leads, stubs, coil pack, rotor,etc, a good spray around all electrics under your bonnet with WD40 will help loads.

I was thinking it may be a relay. When saddor (? i think thats how you spell it) gets cold it contracts then when it heats up it expands. Maybe if the fuel pump relay has a hairline crack, the continuity isn't there when its cold.

What weight oil are you using, you might want to use something more suitable for lower temps. In my experience the m42/m44 isn't happy starting when it is very cold.

Ok i changed the fuel pressure regulator, spark plug wires, spark plugs, :/ what does that little injector looking thing do that sits next to the fuel pressure regulator?
