Exclamation 1997 328i top convertible top problem

AS i was saying ive got a 97 328i. the top does not move by itself at all. The little red light is flashing at the button for the top. I can manually power up all my motors. They are all fine. I seen some where on here in my searches. someone had a file they could send on diagnosing the top. Can any one help me with this. Thanks

check that the motor wasnt emergency disengaged with the lever. you do this by checking in the trunk on the drivers side behind the carpet the motor not be in the operation position. if not push it up into position until it clicks and you should be good to go.
