1996 Bmw 318i Upgrade (please Help)

<span style='font-size:14pt;line-height:100%'>i purchased my bmw about 8 months ago and i only have a sound system in it. the car drives ok but i need more performence what can you guys suggest that can help my car get more HP but for under $500 bux i am on a budget but i have a nice sound system. i have 2 12" kicker comp there ok... 2400 watts forgate amp for the subs. 640watts kenwood amp. all infinity reference speakers. capacitor.and a shittie pioneer 640p cd player which is being replaced in a week with a alpine 7893. any help on performance upgrade and links to any sites or anyone that is trying to sell there perforance parts please list here. ebay my man... lol...I love my lights but wish I spent a little more on zkw's... do the same... these are great and look great but I'm worried about for the future now...

$500 to spend, get a performance chip and a performance muffler or an intake. Save up for the full cat back exhaust at a later time. I found a free flow exhaust system works great with the performance chips on a 318.

I agree. Chip (go for a Jim Conforti from TMS) and intake mod. You can also do what is known as debaffling the airbox. Combined with a highflow filter the effects are similiar to that of a standard short ram.
