1996 328sS... ANY PROBLEMS WITH THESE CARS?

Can anybody tell me if there have been problems with the 1996 328iS? I am thinking of buying this car, but would like to know of any "known" problems.

I've got one, love it to death. The only problems it really has are the problems all 3 series run into: low light radio unit, window errors, etc etc.

I've got a 98 328i and besides replacing the battery the car has had the AC resister replaced twice (once in 2000 and again two weeks ago). This time it was replaced with a half plastic half metal one which I am told will last a while longer. The original and the first replacement were all metal. The car currently has 60,000 miles on it now so who knows what happens at 100,000. All and all, the later years of the e36 seem to have the kinks worked out of them.

The only notable issue I've noticed with the car is the A/C is a little on the weak side. It wasn't a particullary hot summer in NY but I wound up tinting the windows to fix it.

Another trouble area is the Backlighting for the climate control....... there is a guy on ebay who will fix it when it goes for $50.
