| The brake pad light should go out when you replace the pad wear indicators. To reset the service light, you need to ground pin 7 of the 20 pin diagnostic connector for 3 -4 seconds whilst the ignition is switched on but engine is not running (i.e. dash warning lamps are illuminated). Be careful not to short any of the other pins of the connector whilst grounding Pin 7 and when you are done, switch the ignition off then back on again to confirm that the oil service interval indicator has reset. Resetting the Inspection interval indicator han be achieved the same way, but Pin 7 needs to be grounded for longer (about 12 seconds). |
