1996 328i cluster light situations.... - BMW Forum

My 328i refuses to display the park brake indicator when the brake is up. Sometimes it does, but sometimes it doesnt...does this mean the times it doesnt my park brake is inactive? or does it mean that there is just something wrong with the light? please help me out. Thanks-

well either you have a bulb that has a loose filament inside or a failing switch on the park brake- probably victim of spilled beverages and food. I'd bet on the switch.

sounds like the switch is failing, the only way to get to it is to remove the center console.

mine did it for a while un till i replaced my carpent and had to remove everything including the center console so i decided to clean it while the console was off.
