1995 325i E36 - BMW Forum

I just purchased a 1995 325i convertable from the original owner. Good car stored with verified only 52k miles on it. I replaced the top and I would like to loose the radio with the casette. Funny thing is the owner was older family member who never knew there was a 6-cd changer in the trunk. Since I am old enough to have owned 8tracks myself, I dont need a sub or any of that. Just a single cd player that will control the never used stock changer. Is there a BMW or aftermarket radio that will work with little to no rewiring?

Congrats on the new to you car. The 6 disc will not work with an aftermarket head unit. You would have to get an afternarket CD changer if you wanted to retain this feature. A common upgrade if you wish to retain the factory CD player is the BMW CD43 head unit. It was a Buisness line option so very few had it. Which means they fetch for $350 easily. However it allows you to have a single cd in the dash and will allow you to plug in an ups integration kit if you so choose.
