Cheryl in Texas n00b Join Date: Jun 2010 Car: Posts: 1 Photos:	1995 325i convertible alternator question When the shop attempted to install a remanufactured 80 amp alternator they said that one of the brackets that attach to the engine did not have a thread. They rec'd another one and the same problem. The manual indicates that I should use an 80amp alternator..should I try the 140amp?
