I am having some problems with my 95 318i. My battery went dead one day while I was driving. I finnaly got it going and now my battery keeps going dead. I bought 3 new batteries and a new alternator and it is still going dead. If I put an ohmmeter on the car when it is off it is still drawing electricity. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you for your time.
As you mentioned, the car is drawing power. You need to find out from where. These two links below offer excellent information on how to do this. You will need to buy an ampmeter/voltmeter but if you shop around to places like Radio Shack or other auto parts or hobby stores you can find them for as little as $10. You wont need a fancy one.
Boot area is commonly known as a High dampness area... Its the only fault I can find with a BMW!
Many earthing blocks in there too, as well as front-end stuff...
But with the Ign key out, the only current that is drawn should be from the security system and basic clock function...

Make sure there are no lights that are on when the car is parked. Such as, trunk lights, under hood, glove box, maybe you have an amplifier that is hooked up wrong and its always on.
