1995 318i Drivers Side Window Stuck Down Will not Go Up

How do I repair the window it is stuck in down position can hear motor run when attempting to raise it

I'd think you'd have to get into the door. It would seem the motor drive is off the track.

As witeshark says get in to the door......remove the door card and sound proofing, you may find that the plastic clips are broken that hold the window to the runner, if the motor does not make any sound when you push the button it may be the motor or a broken wire which you can test by meter.

Thks guys I got the door cover off most of the clips where broken the motor appears to be operating I do think its off track. Having a difficult time getting to the window to try and get back on track any other tips you can lend.

Does the track go up and down ok ?
