1994 M3 Wiring Diagrams

Hi all,

I have moved oceans and mountains and still cant get hold of a wiring diagram for my M3 1994 engine, its EU spec. Ill fill you in, one rainy day earlier this year I crashed my M3, spun doing 180khp and ended up upside down in a field.

Engine and gearbox was in one piece so i decided to make a track car, Ive bought a 318 compact for 100 euros and have fitted the M3 engine and gear box, fit straight in

Ive done some wiring and the panel lights up and the engine turns but doesnt start, also the fuel pump doesnt get power, even powering the pump manually still doesnt start.

I still need to do more wiring and add and extra relay but I am stuck. Im having to use the 318 fuse box as the original m3 fuse box was left in the car and is now scrap.

Please help me find wiring diagrams for a 1994 M3 EU spec, s50 engine with 300bhp. Thank you in advance.

Wow! you have your hands full......Are you using the original ECU, I know you have to use a numbers matched ECU, because they are coded for each model car. Another member had water damage to his ecu & tried swapping it with another one with only 1 digit off the serial # & his engine would turn, but not start......only certain accessories worked, he later found the exact match, then his car started & everything was ok....What about the Bentley for the wiring problem..... is it different because its EU spec, I don't know...
good luck,

johnny,

Hey Johnny,

Thanks for your fast reply, yup using the original ecu and engine wires, just need to connect up the fuse box correctly.

Thanks for the links unfortunately i already have the bently manual and the EPK from BMW but it doesnt lay out the M3 wiring. I have the compact wiring and I have identified all of the connectors just need to match it up with the M3 engine wiring and add that relay.

Its gonna be a paht car once it running, gonna incorprate a roll cage and straight through pipes.

Thanks for your help dude.
