Thumbs up

OK here's my problem: In my auto class we are working on a 1994 BMW 318iA and its a piece of junk, sorry, but it is...but anyway, we have some questions that we need answers to, and i have no idea what the answers are so i decided a good place to come would be here, so if you can please help me...

*Give me the tune-up info on this car
*How does the engine management in this car differ from the 323's? Be specific.
*What does BMW call a computer for the engine? What is the j1930 term for an engine computer?
*How man separate engine sensors does the 318 employ?
*Name each sensor, list its function, and the diagnostic routine for it. Also state the location of the snesor on the car.
*What is the modern version of the Airflow meter? How is it an improvement?
*What is the BMW designation of this chassis and this engine?

And since i know that my teacher looks on these boards a lot, haha if you so happen to come across this post, if you could give me the answers, that'd be awesome since i wasn't here for most of the beginning of the class.

Please if you can post the answers to these questions...thanks...oh and if you are wondering the problem with the car is that it won't stay running.

And yeah, sorry thats all the information I have on this car.

P.S.
Im pretty sure the engine is a M50, not sure...

All the answers you need I would recommend overnight shipping.

Seriously though most of the information is on this board if you just search. The tune up stuff is in the FAQ section, do a search for sensors and you should get most if not all of them, Engine management as far as I know not much is different except that's a 6cly, Air flow meter is called: Mass Air flow sensor MAFS or meter MAFM I forgot wich(also search), Chasis info E36. For the 318i the engine depends on the year 95 and before or 96 and after. Also pelicanparts.com should also have any of the info that this board is lacking as far as sensors and diagnostics. Good luck.
