Talking 1994 325is Questions

Hey guys i need some help. I just bought a 94 325is and I don't know whether it has keyless entry in it or not. the dealer gave me a key with a black round button with the bmw logo on it and when i press it nothing happens. I changed the battery in the key and still nothing lights up. I was thinking about getting a new key from the dealership but i also heard that some bmw keys only come with a built in light so u can see ur door lock.

you should look in the trunk on the left side to see if your car is pre wired for the security and sound system...(stickers that say so). It probably is, so take out your glove box and the control unit is there and that will let you know if you have one...my bet is that you do not, as I have the exact same car as you and I do not
