I am looking into buying a 1993-1995 325is right now. I would like to know what the difference is between the 325i and the 325is of these years. Anyone knows?

I've got an IS and the ony difference I have been able to notice is that the 325i is 4 door, and the 325is is 2 door. I think there are some other differences, but nothing too major.

is sits one inch lower - has sports suspension to my knowledge as well.

mine is that cheap gray plastic on the lowers all the way around on my 1995. There is a black strip that goes around the body as well..

paint is uniform on 96+.

325i shares same everything with 325is. Differences are minute. Choice is based on preference of 2 door or 4 door.
