| 1992 325IS - Advise
Well to start I will like to say Hi to this community. I just purchased a 92 325IS with 90,000 miles and i got to say the GERMANS are geniuses. The car is fast and it simply sounds insane (not sure if it has a modified muffler, looks like it is the stock one but it sounds like a nice racing car) !!. This is my second car, upgraded from a dodge neon (simply no comparison), and I been doing my research in order to properly maintain the car. I am 21 and still a student so I am still on a tight budget and looking to strech the dollar by preventing major repairs specially when the dealer charge 200 an hour. I just wanted some feedback from other owners of this type of vehicle regarding any common issues with this model and any small upgrades that can be implemented to improve the riding experience. By searching through all the posts i understand there are issues with wiring problems (trunk) and radiators problems. Lucklily for me last owner had the radiator replaced so that was a bonus. I also purchased a B100 BMW scanner but for some reason the scanner is unable to detect the computer. In the manual it states there are issues with some older cars regarding the ABS wiring that could create inteference. Just wondering if anyone had a similar issue with their 325IS. Any advise will be appreciated. |
