1987 325

I recentally just bought a 1987 325. The owner told me that the alternator was bad and needed to be replaced. But after buying and installing a new alternator and replacing the battery, it still dosnt start, the battery just gets drained and its now parked in my driveway. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas what might be wrong or what i can do to trouble shoot this problem.

I believe you're in the wrong place. This is pertaining to the E36 series. But still, I think you got uh... fucked. Didn't you have it checked out before you bought it? God knows what's wrong with it.

PS: If you're car's just sitting in your driveway, disconnect the battery.

i think you should try this in the e30 section... umm.. i dont think its the starter.. but u can check it out!!

Thx for the help, I didnt even realise that I was in the E36 section, anyway, thx again..
