I wanna get new rims on my car(97 328i (black)) but I'm undecisive in wheather to get 18''s or 19''s......I was thinking of 18''s because I alredy have 17''s but then again I was thinking .....FUCK IT! .....go wit 19's.... might as well or maybe later ill want bigger.......keep in mind I'm really going more for looks than performance since its a sedan...although it is manual and I do want to add some perfomance parts....................jus another quik Q. does anyone know where to get tinted taillights...since I don't want 2 use tint spray cuz I think they will start peeling or chiping...or even fadeing.....well anyway those r my Q's let me know ....layte........
i personally prefer 18's, 19's just look too flashy IMO, and as for tinted tailights Jlevi SW
they have the smoked tails, also ebay is a good place too (flame away) boths sets of tail lights for both the e36's ive had were from ebay and have never had a problem witht hem
19s are ridiculously heavy and honestly mostly weight so much and have rotational mass further from the center of the hweel that the performance loss is night and day.
18s look good on an e36. 19s are oversized, heavy, will bend easier, and will be a very uncomfortable ride.
If it's wheel gap you're trying to fill you can get 18s or even 17s and just lower the vehicle.
Lok at the yellow car in my sig. those are 17s on a lwoered car.

I agree with everyone else going with the 18's. While I personally have 19's staggered on my car I am limited to how much I can lower the car due to rubbing issues. The 19's look sick, but with 35 series tires you feel every lil bump in the road. If your lookin to be flashy as well as overall looks I would say go with 18's and slam it to the ground!
I used to have 19's on my car (they came with the car when I bought it). As nice as they looked, they were not practical at all. Needless to say I sold them for a set of much lighter 17's.
Here is a pic: (sorry about the size)

nice drop...looks good. If it's a sedan I'd stick with 18's....but if you go with 19's I'd try to find a set of MVR's....they look sick on the E36 3's. Found a guy on cardomain with a blue M3 coupe with them and I've loved em ever since....really hard to find though I think.
