Will 225/40/18 tyres affect the road handling and stability of my car. ive heard that they are just not built for 18's as the biggest production wheels on an E36 are 17's. Could these wheels worsen the already bad rear end handling of this car?
The 325's are very dangerous in the wet and i want to be sure i'm making the right move because i often push the car to its limits. the tyres i'm getting are only budget tyres!

as long as you get the propper offset and correct tire size, they will improve your handling.

WTF are you talking about, the only time they don't handle magnificently is in the rain but thats expected with any car.
