hey guys theres some ac type 2 rims for sale near me for a really good dealthey are 17X8.5 and i was wondering if those would work on my 94 318is i already searched and couldnt really find an answer so any help would be great! right now i have 17X 7.5 and they seem to work fine, would the 8.5 not let me turn or what?

David,

My 17.5"s rub on the inside of the wall if I am on full lock...'94 318is...leaves a witness mark...check you dont have this because 8.5"s will be even worse!

hmmmmmm im running 8's and those are really nice... 8.5 imo is a bit much, although im not sure, im pretty sure you'll need spacers if so.

Blackbmw is your car lowered or not? mine is not. its at factory which is still pretty low, so you think i wont be able to turn with these on?

if u get 17x 8.5.. then don't get huge tires... throw some 235... or even 245... i have 235 on my 8 inch and they are fine... i don't think you would have a prob

do u know the person selling the rims... even not, see if u could barrow them, and see how they fit!

235x45 17's, on 17"x8.5" breyton's. no rubbing on a non lowered car, not even in the hardest cornering or full lock
