My car has 101K miles on it and I was wondering what would the best thing to do the engine. Replace it or should i just rebuild it. I know a new engine would cost more unless i'm wrong. I plan to upgrade a lot on the engine so would it be wise to buy a new engine so i wouldn't have to waste any of the items i will buy for the car. Anything would be greatly appreciated.
Whhhaaattt? Why would you do that? Unless there's really something wrong with your engine, focus on what the wear and tear could have done to the rest of your car... Are your brakes and your radiator good? I have almost 170,000 on mine, had it for years, and it's never once broken down on me.
101k is nothing. I have a base-level Mitsubishi four-banger with 135k on it, and by no means have I even thought about doing anything with the engine (this after not having treated it all that well). My 328i has almost 172k on it -- I just told a guy today that I expect to get at least around 300k from it. Get yourself a new flat panel TV or something else you need more than your engine needs to be rebuilt.

Those engine rebui;d kits on eBay caught my eye. I almost thought of buying the kit for my car so I have it in had ten years down the road when I need a rebuild (I am sure the'll be a lot cheaper to get now).
