No, Frank3 and the other guys were just joking on the fact that you mispelled "brake" as "bake" and was joking about BMW's being an easy bake oven.
The problem can be either of two things:
"Brake Light Failure"
or
"Brake Circuit Failure"
("brake failure" and "brake light failure" are the same)
A brake circuit failure is the cause of a broken switch underneith the steering colum. If your car has cruise control, go to the BMW dealership parts department and ask for an "E36 4 pin brake switch", if you dont have curise controll, ask for the "E36 2 pin brake switch"
If you have a brake light failure, your bulb is burned out. Go to walmart or an autoparts store, bring in the burnt bulb and ask for a replacement bulb.
Believe me, I know ALL ABOUT these damn brake circuit\light failures, I've been plagued with both constantly for about 3 months.
