1 bake failure

So this just came on my computer today ! what do i need to fix this problem and how much should it cost? where would the best place be to buy parts and is it an easy fix.. such as just a new bulb. ?

I think the topic headline gave the correct error "1 bake failure". You see, E36 was ahead of other cars that offered "Eddie Bauer" appointments. Our cars (for a very limited run) offered "Betty Crocker" appointments. One such option was the in-car Easy Bake Oven.

The error code indicates (yes, 007ben, you're correct about bulbs, just not the right reason) that you need to replace the bulb in the easy bake oven in the glove box. I've heard you can use standard 60W bulbs...available from your local hardware store for $0.87...or OEM 60W bulbs from the dealer for about $16.00.

Let us know how the repair works...and if the BMW chocolate chip cookies are as bad ass as I've heard.

ok so i need to fix the bulb in the glove box ?? I will look for it in the morning hopefully it is an easy fix. Thanks for the input so far.

If its bake failure you need to smoke another joint.

I think there is also brake light failure, id go outside and look it up but its pretty cold.

No, Frank3 and the other guys were just joking on the fact that you mispelled "brake" as "bake" and was joking about BMW's being an easy bake oven.

The problem can be either of two things:
"Brake Light Failure"
or
"Brake Circuit Failure"

("brake failure" and "brake light failure" are the same)

A brake circuit failure is the cause of a broken switch underneith the steering colum. If your car has cruise control, go to the BMW dealership parts department and ask for an "E36 4 pin brake switch", if you dont have curise controll, ask for the "E36 2 pin brake switch"

If you have a brake light failure, your bulb is burned out. Go to walmart or an autoparts store, bring in the burnt bulb and ask for a replacement bulb.

Believe me, I know ALL ABOUT these damn brake circuit\light failures, I've been plagued with both constantly for about 3 months.
