ok well ya know i was gonna get that short shifter for my bimmer, well i guess not. It turns out u need to pay an extra 89$ for the leather cover and 50$ for the knob that comes with it!! That is ontop of the 60$ to buy the short shifter!!! That sucks major ass. My mom just orderd a replacment shift cover thing (that was the part that broke off) and one of those leather booth things (cause it was ripped). O well that suck no more short shifter for me
You dont HAVE to pay for those. They WANT you to pay for those. Just be firm and say you need the z4 shift lever. Then go online and buy the leather cover for $20 and the knob for $15. Thats how much they are when not ordered from BMW.

aslo, what do those 2 extra buttons do?
thanks i painted it a while ago. it got pretty ratched making that guage panel, and painting the e brake handle was a mistake. I'm redoin it all soon, plus the whole dash when i get a new cover. Rith now those two switches are just sitting there. Fully wired just waiting to be hooked up to something. Any ideas?

what? your having the dealer install it? i thought you already did it yourself, the dealer is the worst place to have something installed since they charge something like $98/hr. what kept you from installing it your self, did the white cup get the best of you? you are going to need to drop the driveshaft (not camshaft) and probably the exhaust to put on the rubber bearing sleeve (which isnt even necessary to replace) and it is kinda stupid to do all that work just for that little part. wait till you need a new clutch or center support bearing to put that thing on. it isnt necessary to drop the drive shaft and exhaust to install the shift lever, circlip, and spacers, but most mechanics wont even consider doing it with those things in the way. so your screwing yourself by having the dealer do it, and they werent lying about the labor
that arnt doing it cuase there freakin liers and it should only take a matter of like 30min or less, and u dont have to take out the freakin driveshaft and w/e! no fuckin way...im gonna give another go at doing it. If that dosnt work i'll just return the parts and spend it on sumthin the car really needs.

I'm sorry but I'm not really digging the white interior, no offense.
A friend of mine painted some of his interior panels on his civic with some spray paint, and it feels so weird to the touch. It also doesn't look evenly painted.
IMO, there's nothing like a full black interior. I'm also a fan of the black/tan interior.
