Wont Idle after Brake Master Cylinder Replaced

Newbie to the list. Thanks in advance for all the help I have already gleened from browsing through it.
I recently had a mechanic friend install a new brake master cyclinder and Brake fluid resevoir on my 86 325. After getting the care back it will now not idle. If you take your foot off of the gas it will die. What could have been disrupted or removed and damaged during the installation of these 2 parts that would be causing this?

PS Please use BMW layman's terms. I am a back yard Harley mechanic. BMWs are new to me.

Check all your vacuum hoses. That would be the most likely cause. Also check the seal between the booster and the cylinder.

sounds like a vacuum leak, and it probably isnt directly related to the MC install

Vacuum Lines it is then! I'll start checking for leaks ASAP. I'll post a reply with the bike pics tomorrow. They are all at home. Sorry that nothing is older than '95 in the bikes though. Thanks for the info. I shall return.
