That actually sounds pretty powerful. Sorry for asking a noob question, but what exactly is straight pipe? My guess is disconnecting or taking off a piece of the exhaust.

as far as i knew straight pipes was with no cat, no muffler, straight from the header (prefferably a perfomance one) to the back. no restrictions at all
LoL i dont really think I like it either. I mean it would be sweet on a 24/7 track car but its just way to loud to drive around. I have to crank my stereo now to even listen. But yea it does sound pretty mean, However im thinking of putting a superdyne supercharger on my car. I think i can build a kit for around 1 grand. If i do ill keep the straight pipes on instead of selling them.

wait... your can sell straight pipes? I thought straight pipe was unbolting the muffler.
sure u can sell them. u can buy them custom. all it is is pipe from the header bro. go to home depot and u can buy pipe, just have someone weld bolts and make it fit. and off u go. a decent alternative to straight pipes is to punch ur cat and put a very high flow muffler on there. gives a mean growl and if ur lucky u can pass undetected in cali. i live in vegas and im attempting to be daring, i want to flip my headers and have the exhaust come out from my hood. HOT ROD BMW!!!

hey FOX lemme know how that supercharger kit works. i wanna turbo my 325i but i want something i can just slap on there and burn rubber with. i have the m20b2.5 5 speed. just so u know lemme know about pricing...thankx
eh ive looked into turbocharging. Its not really worth it cause you still have to buy all the fuel stuff, the new chip, then the fuel tuning, but you also have to buy a larger intercooler, more piping, the turbo, and most importanly an exhaust manifold which i still cant find where to get except custom made.
With a supercharger you just buy the fuel setup, the chip, the supercharger, a small intercooler from a junkyard, and then home-rig the pulleys.
