Wiper Check Light

Hi,

I was having issues with my wiper wash and knowing little to nothing about the car as I had it like 2 days, I of course dove right in with no manual. Good news, wiper wash works,. Bad news, I pulled the wash pump out of the resevoir at one point (boy that stuff leaks out fast when you do that) and now my check light for the wiper fluid comes on every time I turn the car on. Found a pic of where the sensor was.. I never got any fluid on that. I pulled that off and stuck it back on after cleaning a bit but no luck. Any ideas?

you can turn the level check upside down(the cables should face upward) and the light wont come off any more i am replacing my washer pump but for the time i drive without the fluid it is really annoying to have the light come off everytime i start the car... otherwise just fill the tank up with washer fluid and it will go away

The problem is that it IS full of fluid and the light still comes on.

well then you should just buy a new one, they are pretty cheap used. Unless you are like me and would like to fix it yourself i tried to look at mine when i took the tank out but it seems like actual switch is hard to get to, am not sure though...

Turns out that the sensor was on, but tilted, that was enough to trigger it thinking that it was empty. Turned it back to where it was supposed to be, problem goes away.
