Window film is not near as hard as some send it across as. HOWEVER, if you have never attempted it before, LISTEN TO LES...why risk fucking up a
$100+ window while trying to fix a window film fuckup.

so i suppose it doesn't matter then that the first ones i want done are stationary (the back window and two windows, i have a coupe so it's not powered)? that wouldn't help the DIY case would it?

Well, you need to practice first, b/c cutting the excess film requires a hand that know what it's doing. If your in southern NH, might I recommend a place in Rutland VT? The name is Fashioned 4 Wheels On woodstock avenue. Thier tint man, steve, if he's still there, went to johnson window film school, and did my vehicle previous to the bimmer. He's damn good. However, if you can get your hands on some old cars with stationary glass, PM me, and i'll write a DIY on how to properly tint.

haha i should probably be a little more specific: seacoast, nh. so i appreciate the suggestion, but VT isn't an option since i'm on the other border. now if you know a place in Maine..haha. thanks man

Even though some places are asses about warrantys... as I got ripped off from a place for my current tint... when I have the time I plan on fixing it...
And then some places in certain states won't warranty, period. That's why the drive to another state, even if it is far away, can sometimes be fruitful.

This is why living in CA is nice, there are about 6 shops that I know do good work in about a 20 mile area from where I live. Your best bet is to ask people you know in your area where they got it done and how they like the job they did. I paid $225 to have all of my windows done, 3 rear 2 front sides and a 6" piece across the top of the windshield. I need to get my right rear side window redone cause I scratced it when I was doing my subframe mounts.
Unfortunately, in the Northeast, as members like Ward, envy, and former resident, me, can attest...there aren't many aftermarket shops until you get down into NY state and surrounding areas.
