Where to find replacement floor panels???

I just discovered how bad my floor panels are, and I pretty much need a 2x2 panel for my floor. Is there anyone who makes weld-in panels for a 1984 bmw 318i? I've found a panel for just about every surface except the floor...

I think the floor pan was a single mould, which is why you cant find any, also due to the build date, I would say your chances of finding a whole floor pan to cut up and use are very very slim, why not get some steel plate and make your own, just weld it on top of whats there and mastic over the weld, and underseal the bottom, once your carpets are back in you would'nt even Know.

I'll end up fabricating my own floor panels, just wanted to see if there was an easier way for my car.
