What is the diff between these two boards. the green one came out of ym 84 318i and the other one came out of an 83 or 84 325. can i use the other board and be ok? thanks Chris---

if its an OBC board, than no

what kind of board is it?

It looks like an SI board, i dont know if it will or not i will get back to ya soon

yes it will work, they are the same, as long as you are just swapping the board and not the whole cluster, then i would have to give you further instruction

Yes,it is the SI board. all i could find different on the two boards is mine says motometer or soemthing like that and this new one says VDO. it doesnt amtter anyways though, because it didnt make my tach or economy gauge work anyway. But jsut out of curiosity, why would it be different if changed the whole cluster, the only diff on the two is one says anti lock brake on my does not. well thanks for your help though. Chris---

there should be a plug that is different
