Some guy is selling his E30 325is for 2,500. he says the car's only problem is an fuel leak , he says he notices that the fuel goes really fast when he drives it. if it is something small like a line replacment that no biggy. but anyway the car got 160,000 miles on it, from the pics that he sent me it got two rust spots. here are those pics. what you think about it. can those be easy to fix/remove. i been looking for an upgrade from my 318i it kinda lacks power.

I dont know dude, it doesnt seem worth it, I got mine for 2000 and the only thing that didnt work was the AC. Those rust spots seem pretty big and that gas tank or line replacement seems a little much for 2500, but its just my opinion,
good luck with the desiscion
I'm thinking the same thing. Rust shows how the car was maintained and if the owner can see a dramatic decrease in fuel levels when driving around, I would think something is seriously wrong. Depending on what the cost for fixing the fuel problem is, I wouldn't pay much more than $1500.

if i were you, id pass on that E30 for 325iS. That damage and the gas leak isnt worth dealing with. After a while you will think to yourself "why did i get this car" cuz it has that huge ass lame thing on the side, and it will cost more to fix then you baught for the car.
Id keep looking if i were you, there were tons of E30's made, and im sure you can find one np.

Maybe there isn't a petrol leak but the engine is drinking it up. I agree with everyone else-rust spot really big and does not seem worth the asking price.

don't get any E30 with visible rust spots. If there is rust visible think about how much there could be that is not visible at the moment. Rust is a pain in the ass to fix. Keep looking, you will find one sooner or later.

maybe its running really lean, and justs pumping way too much fuel into the car, take out the plugs and if they're really black just take it to a shop and get the fuel mixture adjusted back to normal and that should solve your problem. also go ahead and change the wires and plugs if it hasn't already been done.

Im new to this forum. But!! I searched for my e30 for 2 years!! The fuel leak is a very easy fix if u have some kind of mehcanical knowledge. Follow the lines check under the back seat too. My bimmer (84 318i) had a fuel leak under my back seat. The filler tube for the gas tank is on the passenger side. Pop the bottom of the seat up and check that tube, mine was all corroded and damp from gas. If u can take ur bimmer to a shop and be able to tell them exactly what to fix rather then have them find whats worng you can save ALOT of money. That rust is bad on the bottom of the drivers door. Looks as if you would need a new door to go the cheapest route. I think it could be a nice car especially bein an "s", but im not sure how far your willing to go. Keep looking!!!! e30's are awesome.
