just wanted to know what plugs everyone has been having good experiences with, i know all cars are different, some cars prefer different plugs, and in my experience bosch platinums dont work in too many of them, but since they were OE in Bimmers i am willing to try them, i would like to know if any of you have ever put the NGK iridiums in your cars, my bimmer has 300K miles on it and i just got it, i am trying to do everything i can to keep her running, starting from the simplest things and working my way up. I checked with NGKs website and they ARE offered for this car (mine is an 85 325e) has anyone used the bosch plat +4s? are they pre-gapped? I just dont want to spend 35 bucks on a set of plugs and then have the car run worse than it does now. I am sure many of you can relate.
As far as I know, platinums are not recommended for E30s.
You may want to do a search on www.bimmerforums.com and see what others had to say. I remember reading something on there 6+ months ago regarding platinums.
platinum plugs are good for very long extended life, but if you think about it from another perspective, I'm pretty sure you can get copper ones, and thats one of the best conducting metals... ehh? ehhh?
