sup everyone i was wondering if anyone can tell me how i can tell for sure what my car is cause i thought i had a 88 325i cause i had dual exhaust tips and the way my whole exhaust ran. but the vin says its a 88 325. also theres other reason why i thought it was a 325i. had emblem marks of a 325i. SO does anyone know a for sure way to tell what it is.

ok, im not sure but the I on the 325i is means injected and if that is right then if you have a 325i you should have an air filter, if there is no I then the car is carborated and therefore there is no air filter but a whole massive system thing!
The i in 325i is a trim indication. Look on the panel below your driver door, it ought to have a sticker there that says what kind of car it is. If your redline is 4500, then you have an E. If it's higher than that, and you have a 7000rpm tachometer, it's an i.
