on my center console, just forward of the drivers side window switches is a square cutout for what appears to be another switch. Any clues as to what switch is supposed to fill this void?? I dont have power locks (that I know of).
Also, short of going to a junkyard (limited availability for me here) where can I get a new connector for the pass rear power window switch (mine has disintegrated over time. and does anyone have a pinout of what wire is supposed to go to what terminal? my schematic is a bit sketchy on this as well.
That seems likely to be the slot for the window circuit breaker.
IIRC, the circuit breaker is just above the radio, near the rear defroster and hazard controls. 3 of my windows work fine, the 4th has a bad switch, so I dont think its missing the breaker (or some moron spliced it out)
Well, that would differ from my 89. There is no circuit breaker contol near the defrost and hazzard switches; and that car had the window circuit breaker right where you describe the center console cut out.

On mine, up by the radio, in fact just above it, going from left to right, is the fader control, the hazard control, rear defrost, and an unnamed button that I have been told is the window breaker. ( I just confirmed that it is indeed the window breaker)
Perhaps someone swapped in a later console into my car. What would be a good addition to this hole, so that it isnt an eyesore?? Opinions welcomed.

Hmm you could get a spare window circuit breaker and just not connect it (mine is also in this position and not by the radio). Or you could make it a nitrous button?, button to turn subs on/off?
Ok, after some extended research, what goes in the hole is a disable swtch for the rear windows (child safety switch or some crap like that). I got one from the local breakers (along with loads of other missing bits), and all is now good
yep its the child safety switch for the rear windows
