hi guys I'm new the the forum and I need some help

I have a valve cover from a 91 318i

But I need to know for what type of engine is this for (engine model)?

And what models used this engine?

Id appreciate the help thanks guys

looks like its off an e36 may be an m40 engine i think its called

1991s aren't E36s. It's off an M42.

actualy in the 10th month they changed to E36's before that they were E30's i have one but yes it is off an M42

Nothing, I did the polish job myself. I go to junk yards and pick up valve covers and polish them up. I do a lot of M10, e30 stuff, this is the first m42 I do. Came out prettygood.
